Our commitment
A campaign arguing that disabled people are not adequately protected by this Bill cannot publish a website that excludes them. We treat accessibility as a test of our own argument, not a legal formality. This site aims to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, in line with the spirit of the Equality Act 2010.
What we built and tested
- Semantic landmarks, a skip link, and a logical heading order on every page.
- Every interactive control keyboard-operable, with visible 2px focus rings, including the video player.
- Text contrast at or above 4.5:1 on every surface — including red text, which we use only at large sizes on white.
- Body copy at a minimum of 18px, with a reading-length measure.
- No autoplaying media, no flashing content, no content that moves on its own.
- All animation (including scroll reveals) disabled for visitors with
prefers-reduced-motionset. - Forms with visible labels, clear error messages, and status announced to screen readers.
- Automated checks (axe and pa11y) run against every page, alongside manual keyboard testing.
The video
The campaign film carries open captions — the words are burned into the picture, with speaker names shown on screen, so it is fully watchable with no sound on any player. A separate closed-caption track and a full text transcript are in progress and will be published on this site.
Known limitations
- The anti-spam check on our contact form (Cloudflare Turnstile) is a third-party component; we’ve chosen it because it usually requires no interaction at all, but we can’t fully audit its internals.
- Video captions are open (burned in) rather than a toggleable caption track — see above.
Tell us about a barrier
If anything on this site is hard to use with a screen reader, keyboard, magnifier, or any other assistive technology, please tell us via the contact form — we will treat it as a priority fix, and your report will make the site better for everyone who comes after you.
